Harexperience's EGPH Edinburgh International Airport (X-Plane 12)
HarExperience's EGPH Edinburgh Airport
HarExperience's EGPH Edinburgh Airport is a highly detailed recreation of Edinburgh Airport for X-Plane 12.
Located west of Edinburgh, Scotland, Edinburgh Airport (ICAO: EGPH) is one of the United Kingdom’s major international airports and an extremely popular destination within both real-world aviation and the flight simulation community.
The airport handles a wide variety of operations, ranging from short-haul domestic and European services to international flights, low-cost carriers, cargo operations, business aviation, and general aviation. Its combination of a busy terminal environment, distinctive Scottish surroundings, and varied airline traffic makes Edinburgh an excellent destination for a wide range of flights in X-Plane 12.
This scenery recreates Edinburgh Airport with a strong focus on accuracy, atmosphere, visual quality, and optimization. The terminal complex, piers, hangars, airport infrastructure, landside areas, surrounding buildings, and numerous smaller details have been recreated using real-world references.
Particular attention has been given to optimization. Despite the high level of detail, the scenery has been designed around efficient modelling, carefully planned textures, optimized geometry, and techniques also commonly used in professional X-Plane scenery development. In testing, EGPH produces very little performance difference compared with the surrounding environment, allowing the airport to remain highly detailed without unnecessarily impacting frame rate.
